It was time to sail!!!!!. With compliments of Sun-sail we were off to another sun filled day. The excuse being the need to collect "special Olive oil" from a specific Island way in the distance. As we were not one's to complain, we happily mucked in.
We should have known better, turns out
we were coerced into skippering and the like, while all this time
abused in ways unimaginable. Being plied with eats and drinks went
a long way in easing the burden, but we promised never to repeat the
exercise! ….. unless asked of course???/
On arriving at the Island B& I
needed to partake in a leisurely walk to calm the nerves while
negotiations were underway by the crew to obtain the merchandise at
almost giveaway prices. I believe the restaurant owner was so
intimidated by the show of force, that he succumbed to the pressure of having to invite us to "stay on for meal before venturing back onto the rough seas.".
Much excitement was had by all and off
we went. Soon after cast-off a few dolphins decided to grace us with their presence.
The consensus was that they just surfaced to complain about the
erratic steering, as by this time as we had indulged and enjoyed a
most scrumptious lunchtime meal along with “a few many”
alcoholic beverages.
Hey, hey, hey, slow down ok!. One
cannot work and not play you know!. Balance is the key to a stressful
life. Not only had we endured the rough seas and associated wind
that could easily blow a potato crisp off the bow, all this had to be
completed with the implicit instructions “that we needed to have
fun !!!” …....Give me a break!!!!

Can you imagine having to contend with crew members having just wonderful smiles while you're out there giving it your all to ensure a job well done???
Psst, disclaimer: The REAL reason for the trip related to the evaluation of New employee's Skipper skills.
